Generate a dirty image based on a visibility set.

Parameters:
  • b (Quantity [m]) – Baseline vectors.

  • vis (Quantity [Jy]) – Visibility data.

  • freq (:class:`~astropy.units.Quantity`[Hz]) – Frequency of the visibility data.

  • mapout (SHCoeff or PixList) – Output map type (SHCoeff for spherical harmonic coefficients or PixList for pixel list).

  • phased_dir (SkyCoord, optional) – Phased direction for the visibility data (default is None).

Returns:

Dirty image map based on the visibility data.

Return type:

SHCoeff or PixList

Raises:

TypeError – If the mapout type is not supported.
